- 全7巻の内、「覚書」から「台子」までの5巻は、貞享3年(1687年)に千家(南方録・奥書)あるいは「利休秘伝茶湯書五巻所持の人」(岐路弁疑・牒)が秘蔵していたものを書写、その後元禄3年に堺の「宗啓肉族、納屋宗雪」所持の2巻「墨引」「滅後」を書写したという。
- Among seven volumes of the Tachibana book, the first five volumes, from 'Memorandum' to 'Daisu' (a stand for utensils used in the tea ceremony), were copied in 1687 from the treasured volumes kept by the House of Sen (based on Okugaki (postscript) of Nanboroku) or 'the person who has the five volumes of a book of Rikyu's secret teachings for Tea Ceremony' (based on cho (official documents) of Kirobengi (The Tea Book of Jitsuzan Tachibana)); the other two volumes, 'Sumibiki' (Cross out) and 'Metsugo' (After Rikyu's Death), were copied in 1690 from the book owned by 'Sosetsu NAYA, a blood relation of Sokei' in Sakai.

- It is said that he also acted as guardian of Ujizane IMAGAWA, the legitimate son of Yoshimoto IMAGAWA, and Motoyasu MATSUDAIRA (Ieyasu TOKUGAWA), a hostage of the Imagawa clan at that time, but it was during the same period as Sessai left Suruga (during negotiations with the Takeda and Gohojo clans and expedition to Mikawa Province) so it is unknown whether he in fact influenced both persons or not.
- 江戸時代では、『卜養狂歌集』に「その頃世にはやる唐人歌とて、のんせんふらんらん露の情なやといふ事を歌ひける」(『松の落葉』には大津追分絵踊に「浮世のんせんふんらんらん」とある)、『毛吹草』に「小歌の中の句に、ふうらいふらいふる妻いとし軒の雪、此句唐人歌歟」とある。
- In the Edo period, 'Bokuyo Kyokashu' (Bokuyo Collection of Comic Tanka) described a song as 'a popular tojinuta singing about のんせんふらんらん露の情なや' (in 'Matsu no ochiba' [a book on Shinto, the history and the language by Takanao FUJII], '浮世のんせんふんらんらん' was compiled as the song for Otsu Oiwake-e odori dance), and also 'Kefukigusa' (a book for haikai including manners and selection of works) described a song as 'a kouta song has a line, ふうらいふらいふる妻いとし軒の雪, from tojinuta.'
- 安置形態としては、毘沙門天を中尊とし、吉祥天(毘沙門天の妃または妹とされる)と善膩師童子(ぜんにしどうじ。毘沙門天の息子の一人とされる)を脇侍とする三尊形式の像(京都・鞍馬寺、高知・雪蹊寺など)、毘沙門天と吉祥天を一対で安置するもの(奈良・法隆寺金堂像など)、毘沙門天と不動明王を一対として安置するもの(高野山金剛峯寺像など)がある。
- The styles of placement are as follows: a triad style in which Bishamonten is placed at the center with Kyoji (attendant figures) of Kisshoten (Kichijoten, Sri-mahadevi, who is said to a wife of the sister of Bishamonten) and Zennishi-doji (who is said to be a son of Bishamonten) (Kurama Temple in Kyoto, Sekkei-ji Temple in Kochi, and so on); a style that places a pair of Bishamonten with Kisshoten (the statue of Horyuji Temple Kondo (法隆寺金堂) in Nara); and a style that places a pair of Bishamonten with Fudo Myoo (the statue of Koyasan Kongobuji Temple and so on).
