- またこの時期に作者河竹黙阿弥を得て『北条九代名家功』(高時)、『極付幡随長兵衛』(湯殿の長兵衛)、『天紛衣上野初花』(河内山)、『船弁慶』、『大森彦七』などを完成し、また福地桜痴と組んで『鏡獅子』『助六』などを創り上げるなど、数多くの名作を残した。
