- On a spring evening, on the rooftop of Nanzen-ji Temple, Goemon ISHIKAWA, a legendary bandit with designs on all the treasure of Japan, is composedly smoking with a pipe and viewing the cherry trees which are in full bloom, and says his famous line: 'What a superb view, what a superb view; that man, saying that a moment of a spring evening is worth one thousand ryo (monetary unit), was a person of really small, small caliber; for this moment, I would spend ten thousand ryo, hundred million ryo' ('a moment of a spring evening' refers to the famous phrase of a Chinese poem '春夜Chunye' by 蘇軾Su Shi; in the original, it is 'one thousand gold' 春宵一刻値千金).

- From the end of 1868, he hid with the former Shinsengumi members, Ichiro MINAMI and Mototaro TAKEUCHI in Edo, to assassinate the former Shinsengumi soldiers, HAYAKAWA and FUKUI (first names were unknown) by the order of Kuninosuke ABE of Numazu kinban gumi (Edo duty of Numazu) but ran out of money so they begged for money from Kaishu KATSU in January but were scolded instead over the disposal of HAYAKAWA and FUKUI. So they decided to end the conflict peacefully through negotiations with both parties.

- The signs of temples or shrines' was basically jisha fushin and still exists today, but in pre-Meiji Period society (1868 - 1912) local government was fairly autonomous, revolving around temples and shrines and since regular repairs, improving infrastructure and planning renovations needed large amounts of money, the funds were raised not through donations, but by holding festivals, inviting tekiya and getting the locals to participate to create an atmosphere of extraordinary (hare) and making tekiya contribute part of their profit as rent.
- この法律は、障害者基本法(昭和四十五年法律第八十四号)の基本的理念にのっとり、身体障害者福祉法(昭和二十四年法律第二百八十三号)、知的障害者福祉法(昭和三十五年法律第三十七号)、精神保健及び精神障害者福祉に関する法律(昭和二十五年法律第百二十三号)、児童福祉法(昭和二十二年法律第百六十四号)その他障害者及び障害児の福祉に関する法律と相まって、障害者及び障害児がその有する能力及び適性に応じ、自立した日常生活又は社会生活を営むことができるよう、必要な障害福祉サービスに係る給付その他の支援を行い、もって障害者及び障害児の福祉の増進を図るとともに、障害の有無にかかわらず国民が相互に人格と個性を尊重し安心して暮らすことのできる地域社会の実現に寄与することを目的とする。
- The purpose of this Act is to improve the welfare of persons (adults) and children with disabilities through the provision of benefits for necessary disability welfare services and provision of other forms of support to enable persons (adults) and children with disabilities to live independent daily or social lives according to their respective abilities and aptitudes, as well as to help bring about the realization of local communities in which citizens can live peacefully and securely with respect for each other's personality and character, regardless of disabilities, according to the basic principles of the Basic Act for Persons with Disabilities (Act No.84 of 1970), combined with the Act for the welfare of Persons with Physical Disabilities (Act No.283 of 1949), the Act for the welfare of persons with intellectual disabilities (Act No.37 of 1960), the Act for the Mental Health and Welfare of the Persons with Mental Disorders (Act No.123 of 1950), the Child Welfare Act (Act No.164 of 1947), and other Acts pertaining to the welfare of persons (adults) and children with disabilities.
