- In response to an inquiry from the second shogun, Hidetada TOKUGAWA, Tenkai suggested that myojin was a title of god donated to Hideyoshi TOYOTOMI as Hokoku Daimyojin (Great Luminous Deity of Our Bountiful Country) and it was an ill-omened title considering the collap of Toyotomi clan, so the title of god of Ieyasu was determined to be 'Tosho Daigongen', and the body of Ieyasu was moved from Mount Kuno Toshogu Shrine to Nikko Toshogu Shrine and Rinno-ji Temple was built.

- なお、浅野が刃傷に及ぶ前、加藤泰恒(伊予大洲藩主)や戸沢正庸(出羽新庄藩主)が日光法会中に受けた義央のいじめを浅野に伝え、お役目を終えるまで耐えよと諭した逸話が、冷光君御伝記(誠尽忠臣記よりの情報としている)や義人録(広島藩士御牧武大夫信久の証言として)などに記されている。
- A Record of Reikogimi (information that is Seijin Chushinki-friendly) and A Record of Gijin (as evidence of Mimaki Budayu Nobuhisa, a retainer of the Hiroshima domain) contain an anecdote about Yasutsune KATO (lord of the Ozu domain in Iyo Province) and Masatsune TOZAWA (lord of the Shinjo domain in Dewa Province), who told Asano about Yoshihisa's ill-treatment during the Nikko Buddhist religious service but were persuaded to stand until the end of their services.
- 現在、日光東照宮所蔵の徳川家康の任官叙位の宣旨は、徳川家康の任官叙位の宣旨が遺失したため(徳川実紀正保2年5月8日条)、正保2年(1645年)、征夷大将軍・徳川家光の要請により、朝廷に対して再発行の手続きによる文書として伝わっており、再発行の段階で豊臣から源に変更した可能性がある。
- The decrees having been issued for awarding ranks and for appointing posts to Ieyasu TOKUGAWA were lost (recorded in the article on May 8 (in the old calendar), 1645, of Tokugawa Jikki), and those that are now stored in Tosho-gu Shrine are the documents that were obtained through requesting the Imperial court to re-issue them in 1645, and there is a possibility that the name of Toyotomi was changed to Minamoto when re-issuing them.
