- 骨縛りは引きの強い反故紙を用い、中期工程には湊紙(和泉の湊村で漉かれた漉き返しの紙で、薄墨または鼠色の紙)や茶塵(ちゃちり)紙(楮の黒皮のくずから漉いた紙や、故紙を再生したもので単に塵紙ともいう)を用い、清貼の工程には粘りの強い生漉きの美濃紙・細川紙・石州半紙などが用いられた。
